How to Make Links in an Autoscroll HTML Frame Display in a Document Frame.
1. Make an HTML frame. Right Click > Text Format > Overflowing Text > Autoscroll. Note: this is not a feature of Creative Frame tool or Artistic Text tool.
2. Make a document frame using the Framed Document tool. Untick "Active Document Frame", Scroll bars = Auto. Note its width in the Transform tab.
3. Create a Master Page just wide enough to fit WITHIN the Document Frame, or about 20 pix less than the width of the to allow for a vertical scroll bar. The Transform tab of the selected Document Frame will provide its width.
4. Add pages of contents to be displayed in the Document Frame, using the Master Page in 3. above. Untick "Include in Navigation".
5. Add Links to the HTML frame. In the Hyperlink dialog box, first select Site Page. Then, Page name = choose appropriate page. Target Window or Frame = document frame. Make sure a frame is named, too, in the adjacent dropdown box.
6. When there is no more room to enter links in the HTML Frame, right click > Edit Story. Type in the text then, Insert > Hyperlink.
Step 2
This is an HTML text frame with a line border.
It is set to have an auto-scroll bar.
To do that, Right click the frame edge > text format > overflowing text > auto scroll
bar
Enter the text for the information you want displayed in the Framed Document.
Highlight it and create a HYPERLINK. Set the hyperlink to point to the appropriate
page or site.
Use the drop down box in Target Window or Frame and select the last entry, ‘document
frame’. Make sure the correct target iframe is indicated in the adjacent box, ie,
ifrm_1.
Step 1
Use the Framed Document tool to create a document frame like this, ifrm_1.
This document frame is 500h by 255w pix.
Step 3
Set a Master Page width to fit within the frame (less 20 pix) and to allow for a
vertical scroll bar. Adjust the width to avoid a horizontal scroll bar.
Use this Master Page to underlie pages to be displayed in this document frame.
