How to Create a Sub Directory or Folder.
By mjh

So, you have a site uploaded and now want to make changes but do not want to overwrite your existing site.....

All you have to do is make a subdirectory/folder and upload your work-in-progress in that space.  I name my subdirectory/folder for testing something as creative as /test.  That way, there is no confusion as to what the folder contains.

Here’s how:

File > Publish Site > Publish to Web
In Publish to Web dialog, click on ACCOUNTS

In Upload to Server, click on COPY

Now, you are ready to name and create the new Account and subdirectory.

In Account Name, give it a name that makes sense to you.

In FOLDER:  Add a ‘/’ (slash) to what is already there and then the name you want for that subbdirectory/folder, like test.

The folder: for this site is public_html/webplus

Click on OK

When you click on UPLOAD, WebPlus will ask if you want to create the directory/folder.  Say YES, of course, please.

Now, the upload will continue.

To see the site:   www.(yourdomainname.com)/test/

For this site it is: www.foxhillers.com/webplus/
